Removal and installation of the ignition distributor of the 4G1 engine are shown in Figure 7.36, disassembly and assembly - in Figure 7.37.

Installation



1. Remove the upper timing belt cover.

2. Turn the crankshaft clockwise and align the TDC marks (Figure 7.38).

Attention! The piston of the 1st cylinder is at TDC if the TDC mark on the camshaft pulley coincides with the mark on the cylinder head.


3. Align the adjustment mark on the distributor housing with the adjustment mark on the coupling (Fig. 7.39).

4. Center the ignition distributor in relation to the engine.
