2. Remove the brake drum (see Section Removal, installation and check of a condition of a brake drum).
3. Thoroughly clean the brake mechanism.
4. Using a special gauge, determine the inner diameter of the brake drum.
5. By turning the adjusting wheel, set the shoes in such a way that the generatrix of the working surfaces of their friction linings is located in a circle with the same diameter as the inner diameter of the drum.
6. Place the drum on the brake assembly (see Section Removal, installation and check of a condition of a brake drum).
