Removal



1. The parking brake drive components on the respective models are shown in the illustrations.

2. Jack up the car and place it on supports.

3. Remove the brake caliper assembly (see Section Removal and installation of disc brake calipers).

4. Remove the brake disc (see Section Removal, condition check and installation of the brake disc).



5. Remove the front and rear friction shoe anchor springs.



6. Remove the adjuster wheel spring and adjuster assembly.

7. Remove the spacer bar with the return spring.

8. Remove the guide springs and friction shoe anchor pins.

9. Remove the shoe assemblies.

10. Release the clamps, unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the parking brake cable.

Installation



Installation is done in reverse order. Make sure that the anchor springs are installed correctly - they have different power characteristics and one of them is marked with paint.

Diamante models since 1997.



Removal



1. The design of the parking brake on Diamante models from 1997 onwards is shown in the illustration.

2. Jack up the car and place it on supports.

3. Remove the caliper (see Section Removal and installation of disc brake calipers).

4. Remove the brake disc (see Section Removal, condition check and installation of the brake disc).

5. Remove the spring guide screws and remove the shoe assemblies from the brake shield.

Installation



Installation is carried out in reverse order.
