Disassembly



1. Remove the steering shaft.

2. If it is necessary to remove the steering shaft lock, use a hacksaw to cut off the special bolts on the side of the steering shaft lock bracket (Fig. 13.10).

3. Remove bracket 2 of the steering column lock (Fig. 13.11).

4. Remove steering shaft lock 3.

Assembly



Assembly is carried out in the reverse order of disassembly, taking into account the following.



1. When installing the lock and steering shaft lock bracket into the steering column, temporarily install the lock into the protrusion of the steering column.

2. Check the operation of the steering shaft lock and then tighten the special bolts until the bolt heads shear off (Fig. 13.12).

Attention! When installing the steering shaft lock, the lock bracket and special bolts must be replaced with new ones.
