1. The reverse gear lock ring does not pull up.
Move the lever in the selected direction (towards reverse gear) until it stops, then move it forward, which should shift into 1st gear.
2. The reverse gear lock ring is pulled upward.
Move the lever in the selected direction (towards reverse gear) until it stops, then move it forward, which should shift into reverse gear.
If the above operations cannot be performed, adjust the length of the gear shift rod by performing the following operations:
- loosen the gear shift rod adjusting bolt;

- move the lever (on the gearbox side) and the gear shift lever assembly to the 1st gear position (Fig. 11.5);
- tighten the shift rod adjusting bolt.
