The gearbox is housed in an aluminum alloy housing and is attached to the left end of the engine. It consists of a gearbox, final drive, and differential.
Torque from the engine crankshaft is transmitted through the clutch to the primary shaft of the gearbox, on which the driven clutch disc is mounted. From the secondary shaft, torque is transmitted to the differential and drive shafts.
In neutral, the input shaft and output shaft gears rotate freely and do not transmit torque to the differential.
The gear shift mechanism is actuated by a lever located on the floor of the vehicle using a shift rod. The gear shift mechanism moves the corresponding fork, which in turn moves the synchronizer and ensures a rigid connection of the secondary shaft gear with the secondary shaft.
