Gear Shift Levers — Checking Operation (Mitsubishi Colt 4)

Move the gearshift lever to each position and make sure that the lever moves smoothly. Make sure that the lever is correctly locked in position.

Make sure that the gear shift lever can be moved to any position.

Start the engine and check that the vehicle moves forward when the gearshift lever is moved from N to D and moves backward when the gearshift lever is moved to R.
