Release the control cable fastening to the gear shift lever. Disconnect the cable and the lever.
Set the manual gearshift lever to position N.
Rotate the gearshift housing (1| until the 12 mm wide end of the manual gearshift lever (2) is positioned against the 12 mm wide flange of the gearshift housing.
Tighten the mounting bolts (3) to the specified torque.
Make sure the gearshift lever is in position N.
Adjust the nut so that there is no slack in the control cable and make sure that the forward shift lever operates smoothly when the gear shift lever is moved.
Start the vehicle and while driving, make sure that each gear is engaged in the gearbox in the correct position.
