Checking the engine crankshaft speed at idle speed (Mitsubishi Space Star)

1. Prepare the vehicle for testing (warm up the engine to operating temperature).

2. Check the main ignition timing angle and adjust if necessary.

Main ignition timing angle: 5°±2° before TDC

3. Turn off the ignition and connect the MUT-II device to the diagnostic connector.

4. Start the engine and let it idle.

5. Let the engine idle for 2 minutes.

6. On the MUT-II device, select item 22 and check the crankshaft speed at idle, which should correspond to the nominal value.
