Removing
- Disconnect the wire from the negative battery terminal.
- Remove the exhaust pipe.
- Loosen the bolt and remove the dipstick guide tube to measure the engine oil level (pic. 2.69).

- Turn out bolts and remove a thermoprotective casing.
- Turn out bolts and remove brackets of a final collector.
- Remove the nuts and remove the exhaust manifold from the cylinder head.
Examination
- Check the exhaust manifold for cracks or other damage.
- Using a metal ruler and feeler gauges, measure the flatness of the mating surface of the intake manifold.
Deviation from the flatness of the mating surface of the exhaust manifold
- nominal: no more than 0.15 mm
- maximum allowable: 0.50 mm
Installation
- Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
