Intake manifold of the 4G93-GCH engine since 2000 (Mitsubishi Space Star)

Removal

Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.
Drain the coolant from the engine cooling system.
Remove the air filter.
Remove the ignition coils.
Remove the throttle assembly.
Remove the fuel injectors.
Remove the control wiring harness mounting bolts.
Disconnect the connectors from the purge solenoid valve and the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve (Fig. 2.68).

Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose.
Disconnect the PCV hose.
Disconnect the vacuum hose and the canister purge hose.
Remove the bolts securing the intake manifold to the intake manifold support.
Remove the bolts securing the EGR valve support to the intake manifold.
Remove the injectors.
Remove the bolts and nuts and remove the intake manifold.
Remove the bolts and intake manifold support.
Remove the bolts and exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve
Remove the EGR valve base mounting bolts and gasket.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following.
Install the injectors.
Install the throttle assembly.
Install the ignition coils.
Install the air filter.
Fill the engine cooling system with coolant.
Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
