Intake manifold fittings
1 - ignition coil; 2 - manifold gasket; 3 - fuel line (nozzle frame); 4 - bracket; 5 - air duct; 6 - gasket; 7 - throttle body; 8 - gasket; 9 - element of the air system; 10 - temperature sensor (refers to the exhaust gas recirculation system); 11 - gasket; 12 - intake manifold support; 13 - intake manifold; 14 - block of the ignition system.
Removing
Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.
Carefully relieve fuel pressure in the fuel system.
Drain most of the coolant from the cooling system until coolant is drained from the intake manifold passages.
Disconnect the upper radiator hose from the thermostat housing,
Disconnect the throttle cable (accelerator).
Remove all hoses.
Once marked, remove each wiring harness and cable to the manifold and fuel injection system components.
Remove the fuel supply line, injectors and pressure regulator as one unit.
Remove the rubber bushings from the fuel line.
On this engine, the ignition coil and transistor are fixed, but we recommend that they be removed separately and stored in a protected place.
Remove the intake manifold support, linkage bracket and transistor.
Remove the intake manifold and gasket.
Remove the throttle body and gasket. The gasket needs to be replaced.
Remove the air intake pressure regulator bracket.
After unscrewing the bolts, remove the engine intake manifold.
Thoroughly clean the contact surfaces. Inspect manifold and pressure regulator assembly for damage or cracks. Check each vacuum connection and water passage for contamination. Using a ruler and a set of feeler gauges, check the warping of the manifold and head surfaces.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order, taking into account the fact that during installation it is necessary to replace all gaskets with new ones.
