2. Remove the center console.
13.3a On some models the handbrake cable adjusting nuts are located under the centre console - when adjusting the cables, turn both adjusting nuts (arrows) an equal number of turns (Precis model shown)
3. Tighten the adjusting nuts on the balancer until the required travel of the handbrake lever is obtained (13.3a, 13.3b).
13.3b On other models, the handbrake cables are adjusted using one nut.
13.4a On some models, to adjust the handbrake indicator switch, loosen the mounting screw (arrow) and move the switch as required (Precis model shown)

4. If necessary, adjust the handbrake indicator light switch. To do this, unscrew the switch mounting screw and move the switch up and down as necessary, or bend the tab (13.4a, 13.4b). After adjusting the switch position, tighten the mounting screw securely.
5. Raise the rear of the vehicle and spin the wheels, making sure that the brakes do not interfere with their rotation.
