1. Worn or broken engine mounts must be replaced immediately.
Examination
2. When checking, the engine must be raised slightly to relieve pressure from the mounts.
3. Raise the vehicle and support it on jack stands. Place a jack under the oil pan and lift the engine.
4. Check the rubber shock absorbers of the mounts.
5. Lower the engine and tighten the mounting clamps.
6. To reduce wear, shock absorbers can be coated with a special compound.
Replacement
7. Disconnect the wire from the negative battery terminal, lift the car and secure it on supports.

8. Remove the mounting clamps and remove the mountings (17.8a, 17.8b, 17.8c, 17.8g, 17.8d).
9. Install the new shock absorbers into the mounts.
10. Install the fasteners into place.
