Throttle body mounting elements for models produced since 1999
1 - throttle position sensor connector; 2 - throttle body; 3 - gasket; 4 - throttle servo connector; 3 - cooling system hoses.
Removal
Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
Drain the coolant from the cooling system.
Relieve fuel pressure in the fuel system.
After removing the air intake hose, disconnect the connectors of the throttle position sensor (1) and the throttle servo motor (4) (see figure).
Remove the cooling system hoses (5).
After unscrewing the bolts, remove the throttle body (2) and gasket (3).
Disassembly
Remove the bolts from the throttle body (2) and remove the throttle position sensor (1).

Installation
Position the throttle position sensor on the throttle body in position (A).

Turn the throttle position sensor counterclockwise and tighten the sensor mounting bolts.
Measure the resistance between pin 1 (power supply to the sensor) and pin 2 (output of the 1st channel of the throttle position sensor), and between pin 1 and pin 4 (output of the 2nd channel of the throttle position sensor). Record the results.

Slowly open the throttle valve to the fully open position; the resistance should change smoothly in accordance with the throttle opening angle.
If the measured voltage value does not correspond to the required values or does not change smoothly, then the throttle position sensor must be replaced.
Install the gasket so that its protruding part (B) is located between the intake manifold and the throttle body as shown in the figure.

If it is necessary to replace the throttle body, reset the electronic throttle control system to its original state. To do this:
Turn the ignition key to the ON position and then within one second turn it to the (LOCK-OFF). Leave the ignition key in the LOCK-OFF position for at least 10 seconds.
After filling the engine cooling system with coolant, install the air intake hose.
