Valves — Check for wear (Mitsubishi Colt 5)

1. Check that the valve head fits properly against the seat. If the contact is uneven or incomplete, lap the valve and valve head seat.

2. If the valve plate height is less than the limit value, replace the valve (Figure 4.16). The valve plate height dimensions are given in Table 4.5.



3. Measure the overall length of the valve. If the length is greater than the permissible value, replace the valve (Table 4.6).
