Removal and installation



1. Raise the vehicle and remove the rear wheels.

2. Remove the drums (or discs).

3. Loosen the cable tensioner nut, disconnect the cable from the equalizer bar and remove the shield.

4. Remove the rear brake pads (see subsection 11.13.2, subsection 11.14) and disconnect the cable by turning it with a slotted open-end wrench and removing it from the holder on the shield.



5. Remove the cable from the brake shield.

6. Remove the clamps and brackets securing the cable sheath to the body and remove the cable.

7. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

8. When installing the brake into the shield, rotate the cable. Make sure that the bracket on the shield fits into the groove of the cable sheath, and the protrusion of the sheath rotates and fixes the cable.

9. Rotate the sprocket to set the brake pad diameter to 253–253.5 mm.
