Removal



1. Disconnect the battery from ground.

2. Remove the cylinder head cover and upper belt cover.

3. Set the piston of the 1st cylinder to TDC of the compression stroke.

4. Remove the rocker arms with rollers (subsection 3.4.13).

5. Remove the camshaft and check its condition and axial clearance.

Installation



1. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

2. When assembling, lubricate the camshaft journals.

3. Tighten the cover bolts to 20 Nm.

4. Replace the camshaft oil seal by pressing it in with a mandrel.

5. Tighten the camshaft sprocket bolt to 70 Nm.

6. Install the belt and adjust the tension using the method described above.
