Removing
1. Disconnect ground. Remove the head cover and toothed belt top cover.
Loosen the camshaft bolt.
2. Set the piston of the 1st cylinder to TDC by turning the crankshaft until the mark on the crankshaft pulley aligns with the mark on the front cover scale.
3. Unscrew the camshaft bolt, and, without allowing the crankshaft to rotate and the belt to loosen, put the sprocket on the holder in the front cover, or in the belt cover. Put special brackets on 8 hydraulic pushers (bracket for holding the hydraulic pusher - indicated by an arrow).
4. Evenly and gradually release the bolts of the covers of the camshaft bearing journals, unscrew the bolts, and, holding the opposite ends, remove the rollers with the rocker arms.
Installation
1. Turn away bolts of fastening of rollers on covers of basic necks and get covers, yokes, springs and washers. Store all removed parts in the order in which they were installed.
2. Check the condition of the thrust surfaces of the rocker arms, replace the rollers and (or) rocker arms, with an increased gap between these parts. Replace defective pushers, to do this, remove the bracket (the pusher will fall out) and insert a new pusher, securing the bracket again.
3. Assemble the rollers with covers in the following order:
- insert the rollers into the front cover of the camshaft so that the recesses on the rollers are directed upwards;
- tighten the bolts of the rollers (the left one is longer than the right one);
- install the spring washer on the left roller.
4. Lubricate the rocker arms, springs and washers with engine oil and assemble in the same order with the camshaft covers (rocker arms of cylinders 1, 3 and 2, 4 are marked).
After installing each group of parts, fix the corresponding cover with bolts.
5. Further assembly is carried out in the reverse order. Tighten bolts of fastening of rollers with yokes with the moment of 19–20 Н·м. Tighten the sprocket bolt with a torque of 80 Nm. (the pin on the sprocket must enter the hole in the end of the camshaft, do not loosen the belt tension during installation). Adjust jet valves.
