Removal
1. Remove the cylinder head cover.
2. Loosen the camshaft sprocket bolt.
3. Set the piston of the 1st cylinder to TDC by turning the crankshaft until the mark on the crankshaft pulley aligns with the line on the cylinder head. Further rotation of the crankshaft is not allowed.
4. Loosen the sprocket bolt and remove the small distributor gear.
5. Remove the sprocket with the chain and place it on the holder.
6. Place special clamps MD998448 on the hydraulic lifters.
7. Gradually loosen the camshaft journal cover bolts, starting with the center bolt and moving around the periphery.
8. Unscrew the bolts and remove the shafts with rocker arms.
Installation
1. Unscrew the bolts securing the rollers to the bearing journal covers and remove the covers, rocker arms, springs and washers. Store all removed parts in the order they were installed.
2. Check the condition of the rocker arm thrust surfaces and the gaps in the rocker arms and shafts. Check the cleanliness of the oil passages. Replace worn parts.
Replace faulty tappets that do not ensure complete valve closure. To do this, remove the bracket (the pusher will fall out) and insert the new pusher, securing it again with the bracket.
3. Assemble the rollers with the covers, aligning the marks on the rollers and on the front cover.
Lubricate and install all removed parts in the same order.
4. Then assembly is carried out in reverse order. Tighten the roller mounting bolts to 20 N·m. Tighten the sprocket bolt to 54 N·m. Adjust the jet valve.
