Attention! To dismantle engines of all modifications, it is necessary to remove the transmission, transfer case and front propeller shaft (see subsection 9.3.6, subsection 9.1.6 and subsection 9.3.9). When dismantling the engine, apply marks of mutual orientation to the removed units and the hood, clearly mark all detachable wires and hoses. When removing engines with a volume of 3.0 liters and 3.5 liters, do not allow the temporarily disconnected air conditioner and power steering pump to sag on the hoses. Please note that when removing the engine, you should be extremely careful, since the gaps between the engine and body panels are small, and the unit itself has a significant weight.

Removing
1. Remove the hood.
2. Remove the battery and tray.
3. Remove the cruise control tie rod. To do this, do the following:
- unscrew the bolt and remove the protective cover of the thrust;
- Disconnect the throttle cable, accelerator cable and cruise control cable from the linkage. Adjusting bolts and nuts do not turn away, just release;
- unscrew 4 bolts and remove intermediate draft;
- remove the tie rod bracket, store the bolts and screws in a separate bag to screw back into place.
4. Raise the vehicle and remove the engine and transmission guards.
5. Disconnect the ground.
6. Drain the liquid from the cooling system. Drain the oil from the transmission and engine.
7. Disconnect the engine radiator hoses and other cooling system hoses.
8. Remove the fan shroud.
9. Remove the radiator.
10. Disconnect from collectors exhaust pipes.
11. Remove the transmission (see subsection 9.3.6).
12. Remove the air filter duct.
13. Remove the power steering pump and set aside without disconnecting from the line.
14. Remove the alternator drive belt.
15. Remove the air conditioner without disconnecting it from the line, take it aside and fix it.
16. Remove a pulley of the pump of system of cooling with the fan.
17. Disconnect all wires from the engine.
18. Turn away the union of an oil cooler.
19. Disconnect the brake booster hose.
20. Disconnect the hose from the equalization chamber and the heater hoses at the rear of the intake manifold.
21. Disconnect the return fuel hose.
22. Disconnect the pressure sensor wire.
23. Attach the hoist hoist and hang the engine.
24. Remove the engine mount shields and unscrew the bolts securing the engine mounts to the frame.
25. Carefully lift the engine and remove it from the engine compartment. Place the engine on stands (not on pallet).
Installation
Engine installation is carried out in the reverse order. First of all, install the engine, wrap the support bolts and tighten them with a torque of 44 Nm. Replace the exhaust pipe gasket on the manifold, as well as the fuel line O-ring. Tighten the fan pulley mounting bolts with a torque of 10–12 Nm.
Tighten the radiator mounting bolts with a torque of 8–11 Nm. Fill with liquid, oil and start the engine. After warming up, restore fluid levels. Re-adjust the throttle cable, belts, idle.
