Fluid replacement (Mitsubishi Pajero 4)

1. Raise the front wheels of the car with a jack and place the car on sliding stands.

2. Disconnect the fluid return hose to the hydraulic system reservoir.

3. Place the vinyl hose on the return hose and drain the working fluid into a suitable container.

4. Disconnect the high voltage central wire.

Caution: Do not locate the high tension center wire near the fuel rail.

5. To completely drain the working fluid from the hydraulic system, turn the starter on and off several times, while turning the steering wheel left and right until it stops.

6. Put the fluid return hose back in place and secure it with a clamp.

7. Fill the reservoir with the recommended fluid to the bottom position of the filter, and then bleed air from the power steering hydraulic system.

Recommended fluid: ATF DEXRON or DEXRON II fluid
