2. After the repair, recheck using the MUT-II to verify that the incorrect input and output signal is correct as a result of the repair.
3. Clear diagnostic trouble codes from the memory of the electronic control unit.
4. Disconnect the MUT-II.
5. To verify that this problem has been corrected, start the engine and perform a road test.
Reference table for emergency operation
When the self-diagnostic system detects a malfunction of one of the main sensors, the system switches to emergency control mode so that the car can continue to move (to the service station).
Note. Before removing any piece of electrical equipment, or if the tool or equipment can short out to bare wires or connector pins, be sure to disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Disconnecting this wire will prevent possible injury to service personnel and damage to the vehicle. The ignition must be turned off in all cases, except as otherwise specified.
