2. After repair, re-test using MUT-II and make sure that the repair results in the abnormal input and output signal being normal.
3. Clear diagnostic trouble codes from the ECU memory.
4. Disconnect the MUT-II device.
5. To ensure that this fault has been corrected, start the engine and perform a road test.
Emergency Operation Reference Table
When the self-diagnosis system detects a malfunction of one of the main sensors, the system switches to emergency control mode so that the car can continue driving (to the service station).
Note: Before removing any electrical equipment or if a tool or equipment could short-circuit bare wires or connector contacts, always disconnect the negative battery cable. Disconnecting this cable will prevent possible injury to service personnel and damage to the vehicle. The ignition must be turned off at all times, except as otherwise noted.
