Circuit breakers — general description (Mitsubishi Colt 2)

Since some models of circuit breakers turn themselves back on after being turned off, in the event of an overload in the circuit, the switched off switch will momentarily disconnect the circuit and then return it to working condition. If the switch does not turn back on, immediately check the electrical circuit. Do not forget, however, that some circuit breakers must be reset manually after being triggered.

Once the source of the fault in the circuit is eliminated, the circuit breaker will operate normally.

To reset the circuit breaker, disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the switch, insert a thin needle or something similar into the small hole in the switch, and push it in until you hear a click. Once the circuit breaker is turned on, it is recommended to test how it conducts electricity by connecting an ohmmeter to the terminals of the switch before installing it.

Caution: If your car stereo has a coding system, make sure you know the activation code for the stereo before disconnecting the battery.
