Intermediate shaft elements
1, 10 - bearing; 2 - bearing cage; 3 - needle bearing; 4 - 1st gear pinion; 5 - synchronizer ring; 6 - 1st and 2nd gear synchronizer sleeve; 7 - synchronizer hub; 8 - 2nd gear pinion; 9 - intermediate shaft.
Disassembly
Remove the lock washer, 1st gear bearing and bearing race.
Remove the synchronizer ring, synchronizer spring, 1st and 2nd gear synchronizer sleeve and 1st and 2nd gear synchronizer hub.
Remove the synchronizer ring, remove the 2nd gear gear and needle bearing.

Remove the bearing.
Check the condition of the outer surface of the intermediate shaft where the needle bearing is installed.
Check the condition of the intermediate shaft splines.
After aligning the needle bearing with the shaft or bushing and gear, check that it rotates smoothly.
Check the needle bearing separator.
Assembly
Assembly is carried out in reverse order.
