Reverse gear lock — operation check (Mitsubishi Colt 4)

If the reverse gear lock ring does not extend upwards, then move the lever in the direction of reverse gear until it stops, then move it forward, and the shift to 1st gear should occur.

If the reverse gear lock ring is pulled up, move the lever in the direction of reverse gear until it stops, then move it forward, and reverse gear should be switched.

If the above operations cannot be performed, adjust the length of the gearshift rod. To do this:

• Loosen the gear shift rod adjusting bolt.
• Move the shift lever and gearshift lever (2) assembly to the 1st gear position (1).
• Tighten the shift rod adjusting bolt.
