The Aisan 28/32 carburetor installed on Mitsubishi cars is a two-barrel carburetor with a falling flow, sequential opening of the throttle valves and vacuum control of the secondary chamber throttle valve. The air damper is fully automatic and is controlled by a capsule with wax heated by coolant.

The carburetor consists of three main bodies. These are the upper body (cover), the main (principal) body (float chamber) and the throttle body (which contains the throttle valves). An insulating block located between the main body and the throttle body prevents excess heat transfer to the main body.

Some versions of the Aisan carburetor have an electric heater installed on the intake manifold. The heater's task is to prevent icing of the carburetor and improve the atomization of the fuel-air mixture when warming up the engine.

The thermal switch is connected to the supply voltage so that the heater switches off at a certain coolant temperature.

The heater operates on the principle of positive temperature coefficient of resistance - as the temperature increases, the resistance of the heater increases.

The carburetor is shown in Figures 10.1 and 10.2.
