1. Since brake fluid absorbs moisture, which can cause corrosion of brake system components, and air, which reduces braking efficiency, the fluid must be changed at specified intervals. This work should be done in a workshop using a supercharger. The work can also be done independently with the help of an assistant. The procedure for bleeding and replacing brake fluid is described in Chapter 9.
2. If there is a possibility that a different type of fluid was used than was previously in the system, drain all the old fluid and flush the system with alcohol. Replace all pistons, seals and caps, as they will be damaged and may not withstand the pressure.
