Examination
If the air flow rate from the fan decreases (cover the area where the photocell is located with your hand), this means that the photocell is working properly. If the air flow rate does not decrease, replace the photocell.
Removal
To remove, follow these steps.
1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Using a screwdriver blade as a lever, pry the photocell up and remove it from the instrument panel 2 (Fig. 18.21). Disconnect the electrical connector from the photocell.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
