Pic. 18.26. Refueling the air conditioning system from a cylinder: 1 - the valve is open; 2 - the valve is closed; 3 - container with refrigerant; 4 – charging valve; 5 – transfer valve; 6 – blue charging hose; 7 - quick coupling (low pressure)
1. Unscrew the filling valve handle until it stops (valve open) and insert it into the filling bottle (pic. 18.26).
2. Unscrew the handle of the transfer valve until it stops (valve closed) and insert it into the filling valve.
3. Connect the blue charging hose to the adapter valve.
4. Connect the quick coupler to the blue fill hose (low pressure lines).
5. Turn the filling valve handle all the way (valve closed) for punching a hole in a balloon.
6. Turn the transfer valve handle and bleed the air.
7. Connect quick coupler (low pressure lines) to the low pressure service valve.
8. Start the engine.
9. Turn on the air conditioner and set the air temperature control knob to the maximum cooling position («MAX COOL»).
Attention! 10. Set engine speed to 1500 rpm-1
11. Screw on the transfer valve handle (valve open) and fill the system with the required amount of refrigerant, observing its level through the sight glass.
Attention! Do not overturn the charging cylinder, as this may cause liquid refrigerant to enter the compressor and damage it. Only installing the cylinder in a vertical position will ensure that the refrigerant in the gaseous state is charged.
12. After refueling is completed, unscrew the handle of the transfer valve as far as it will go (valve closed) and remove the quick coupler.
Attention! If there is still refrigerant in the charging cylinder, fully close the charging valve and transfer valve and store the cylinder until the next charge.
