1. Wiper blades and arms should be inspected periodically for signs of wear or damage. Wash the blades regularly with a mild soap solution to remove oil film and check the reliability of the fasteners.
Early models
2. Lift the wiper arm off the glass, lift the release lever and remove the blade from the arm. Remove the clip from the edge of the blade using a small screwdriver and remove the rubber insert. Install the new insert in place.
Late models
3. Lift the wiper arm off the glass, press the retaining tab and remove the blade from the arm. Bend the edge of the rubber element with needle-nose pliers and remove the two rods. Then remove the rubber element from the frame. Install the new rubber element on the frame and insert the two rods to secure it.
