Attention! The air conditioning system is under high pressure. Until the system is discharged at the service station, parts cannot be replaced. Use safety goggles when replacing parts of the air conditioning system.
1. The following maintenance operations of the air conditioning system must be carried out regularly:
- A) Check the tension belt compressor.
- b) Check the condition and tension of the compressor drive belt.
- V) Inspect all system hoses for cracks, swelling, hardening, and signs of wear. Check connections.
- G) Clean the condenser grate of leaves and dead insects.
- d) Check the pressure in the air conditioning system.
2. Run the A/C system for approximately 10 minutes at least once a month to prolong the life of the seals.
3. Since air conditioning system repair requires special equipment and knowledge, system repair operations are not described in this manual. However, simple operations for replacing some elements are still described in this Chapter.
4. The main reason for the poor performance of the cooling system is the low level of refrigerant. If you find that your air conditioner is deteriorating, the following steps will help you quickly determine the level of refrigerant in the system.
5. Warm up the engine to normal temperature.
6. Set the temperature switch of the air conditioner to the extremely low level, and the fan operation switch to the extremely high level. Open the doors to make sure the air conditioning system does not turn off when the specified temperature is reached.
7. To check the refrigerant level in the air conditioning system, turn on the air conditioning system and check the condition of the refrigerant through the sight glass. If there are bubbles in the refrigerant and it foams, then the refrigerant level is low.
