Clutch release drive slave cylinder — removal, overhaul and installation (Mitsubishi Colt 2)

1. Disconnect the tube from the cylinder and close its end.

2. Remove the fork pin.

3. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the cylinder.

4. Press the piston out of the cylinder using compressed air.

5. Clean the cylinder walls.

6. Inspect the walls for scratches or signs of wear and replace the cylinder if necessary.



7.7 Elements of the clutch release drive slave cylinder

1. Plug; 2. Spring; 3. Pusher; 4. Cover; 5. Piston and cap; 6. Conical spring; 7. Cap; 8. Air release valve; 9. Cylinder


7. If the cylinder needs to be replaced, disassemble it completely (7.7).



7.8 Check that the cap is installed correctly

1. Piston; 2. Cap


8. When assembling the cylinder elements, lubricate them with clean brake fluid. Pay attention to the installation position of the spring and cap (7.8).

9. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
