Rear wheel hub mounting elements
1 - nut (177 Nm); 2 - brake drum; 3 - hub; 4 - brake disc; 3 - Wheel speed sensor rotor (models with ABS); 6 - rear wheel speed sensor (models with ABS); 7 - connection of the parking brake drive cable; 8 - caliper assembly; A - models with disc brakes; B - models with drum brakes.


Removal



Loosen the mounting bolt and remove the rear wheel speed sensor (vehicles with ABS).

Disconnect the parking brake cable.

Unscrew the two bolts and remove the caliper assembly. Without disconnecting the brake hose from the caliper, use wire to tie the caliper to the body.

Remove the brake disc.

Loosen the screw and remove the brake drum.

Using a screwdriver, remove the hub cap.

After unscrewing the hub nut, remove the rear wheel hub assembly.

Replace the rear wheel hub assembly if the inner bearing race is worn.

Remove the wheel speed sensor rotor (vehicles with ABS).

If necessary, loosen the hub bolt.

Examination



Check the hub components for cracks and damage.

The rear wheel hub bearing assembly cannot be disassembled.



Any damage to the teeth of the wheel speed sensor rotor is not allowed.

Do not drop the rotor. If a part of the tooth is missing from the rotor, this will lead to incorrect operation of the ABS.

Installation



Installation is carried out in reverse order, taking into account the following:

Temporarily install the wheel speed sensor into the sensor bracket.

With the caliper and brake disc removed, insert the feeler gauge (2) into the gap between the rotor tooth and the pole (1) of the wheel speed sensor, adjust the gap to a value of 0.3-0.9 mm and secure the sensor bracket.
