Adjusting elements of the rear suspension trailing arm
1 - trailing arm; 2 - lower transverse lever; 3 - upper transverse lever; 4 - rear wheel speed sensor (models with ABS).
Removing
Remove the rear drum or disc brake mechanism.
Remove the rear wheel hub.
Install the lift stop so that it does not interfere with the operation.
Disconnect the brake hose from the lever.
After unscrewing the two bolts, remove the rear wheel speed sensor (1) (models with ABS).
Disconnect the parking brake cable.
Having installed a jack under the lower suspension arm, disconnect the fastening element.
Remove the bolt connecting the lower arm and trailing arm.
Remove the bolt securing the trailing arm to the body.
Remove the upper transverse arm and trailing arm mounting bolts.
Remove the bolt connecting the upper arm and trailing arm.
Remove the trailing arm.
Use a tool to press out the trailing arm bushing.
Check the rear trailing arm and bushings for damage.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order, taking into account the following.
Correctly orient and position the trailing arm bushing when installing.
Position the long protruding end of the trailing arm bushing so that it faces the inside of the vehicle.
Install the trailing arm bushing so that the axis of the bushing is aligned with the axis of the trailing arm bore (1).
Use tools to press in the trailing arm bushing.
