Diesel engine cylinder head components
I - gland; 2 - camshaft; 3 - Front camshaft bearing cover; 4 - rocker arm axle spring; 5 - nut; 6 - rocker arm axis; 7 - rocker arm; 8 - rocker arm adjusting bolt; 9 - camshaft bearing cap; 10 - rocker arm axle support; 11 - cylinder head cover; 12 - semicircular gasket.


Assembly



Install the spring support washers.

Press new valve stem seals onto the guide bushings using the tool.



Lubricate the valve stem with engine oil and install the first valve carefully, being careful not to damage the cap.

1 - saddle; 2 - oil deflector cap; 3 - top plate; 4 — spring.




Install the spring and plate. Compress the spring with the device and install the crackers in the grooves of the valve stem. After installing the crackers, remove the device and seat the crackers in place with light blows of a hammer on the end of the valve stem.

Installation



Wipe dry the contact surfaces of the head and cylinder block. Place a new gasket on the cylinder block, aligning the holes in the gasket with the holes in the cylinder block.

Install the head on the cylinder block, insert the bolts into the corresponding holes in the cylinder head, tighten the bolts and tighten by hand. Tighten the cylinder head bolts in the reverse order shown in the figure in several steps. A special Allen key is used to tighten the cylinder head bolts.



Install a new intake manifold gasket.

Install the exhaust manifold, replacing the gasket. Tighten the manifold mounting nuts to 15-20 Nm.

Next, install all removed parts in reverse order.
