Features of removal and installation of cylinder head of models with semicircular seals (Mitsubishi Colt 4)

Remove the radiator. Remove the air flow meter connector from the air filter housing and remove the air filter.

Remove the semi-circular cylinder head cover gasket.

Remove the timing belt.

Unscrew the tensioner from the intake manifold.

Remove the cylinder head (see section above).

Perform installation in reverse order, taking into account the following:

Tighten the cylinder head bolts in the following sequence in 4 steps.



1st step: with a torque wrench of 30 Nm.
2nd step: with a torque wrench of 60 Nm.
Step 3: With a torque wrench at 80 Nm.
Step 4: With a 100 Nm torque wrench.

The figure shows how to insert a semi-circular seal after applying sealant to the contact surface of the cylinder head and to the seal.



The picture below shows how to properly coat the cylinder head cover gasket with sealant, install it and tighten it completely.
