2. Remove the crankcase ventilation valve from the cylinder head cover.
3. Reconnect the PCV valve to the vent tube.
4. Start the engine and let it idle.
5. Place your finger on the crankcase ventilation valve hole and check the vacuum on the intake pipe (Figure 6.4a).

Caution: During the test, the valve piston must move back and forth.
6. If you do not feel a vacuum on your finger, clean or replace the valve and the crankcase ventilation tube.
7. Insert a thin rod from the valve installation side into the cylinder head cover and, by moving the rod back and forth, check whether the piston moves (Figure 6.4b).

8. If the piston does not move, clean or replace the crankcase ventilation valve.
