Checking the EGR system of the 4G1 engine (Mitsubishi Colt 5)

1. Disconnect the vacuum tube (with a green stripe) from the throttle body and connect it to the vacuum pump (Figure 6.12).



2. Plug the nipple from which the vacuum hose is removed.

3. Apply vacuum with the engine cold and then warm, with the engine idling. Check the engine operating condition and vacuum.

Engine cold (coolant temperature 40°C or below):
