2. Check the basic ignition timing angle, which for SOHC engines should be 5°±2° BTDC, for DOHC engines 5°±3° BTDC. Adjust it if necessary.
3. Turn off the ignition and connect the MUT-II to the diagnostic connector.
4. Start the engine and let it idle for 2 minutes.
5. Check the engine crankshaft speed at idle, which for the 4G92 engine should be equal to (750±100) min⁻¹, for engine 4G93 (800±100) min⁻¹.
Caution! The idle speed is controlled automatically by the idle speed control (ISC) system.
6. If the idle speed does not correspond to the nominal value, check the injection system components (MPI).
