1. Drain the working fluid from the automatic transmission and remove the control valve block cover.

2. The pressure in the downshift clutch line is adjusted using the adjusting screw shown in Fig. 12.10. When the adjusting screw is turned to the left, the pressure increases. One turn of the adjusting screw changes the pressure by 35 kPa.

Adjust the pressure in the underdrive clutch line so that it corresponds to the average value of the nominal range.

The nominal pressure range is 1010–1050 kPa.

3. Replace the control valve block cover and fill the transmission with working fluid.

4. Check the pressure.

5. If necessary, readjust the system pressure.
