General information
The multi-point fuel injection system is similar to the gas direct injection (GDI) system, with the following differences:
- the list of diagnostic faults has been expanded and their numbering has been changed;
- the ignition system has two ignition coils and no ignition distributor;
- crankshaft angle sensor added;
- added camshaft position sensor;
- added misfire detection sensor;
- the engine air temperature sensor is combined with the absolute pressure sensor;
- front and rear oxygen concentration sensors have been modified;
- there is no clamp for adjusting the ignition timing angle.
Self-diagnosis
The following functions have been added to the self-diagnostic system:
- the engine control unit records the operating status of the engine when a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) occurs (this data is called "freeze frame" data) ("freeze frame"), and can be read by the MUT-II device, and also used in simulating the testing procedure when searching for a fault).
