Idle mode — check (Mitsubishi Colt 4)

To check you need to:

Bring the engine to operating temperature and turn it off (coolant temperature 80-90°C).

Turn off all power consumers.

Set the gearbox to neutral, apply the handbrake. Set the automatic transmission to position P.

Check the ignition timing.

Remove the jumper wire to set the ignition timing.

The engine should run for several minutes at idle speed. Compare the idle speed with the required value: 850±100 rpm.

CAUTION: Connect all measuring instruments only with the ignition off.
