Cleaning the throttle body (Mitsubishi Carisma)

1. Start the engine, warm it up until the coolant temperature is 80°C or higher, and then turn it off.

2. Disconnect the inlet hose from the throttle body.

3. Spray the cleaning solvent into the throttle body through the inlet pipe and wait for about 5 minutes.

4. Start the engine, press the accelerator pedal several times, then release it completely, then let the engine idle for about 1 minute.

5. If deposits in the throttle body are not removed, repeat cleaning.

6. Connect the inlet hose.

7. Using the MUT-II or by disconnecting the negative battery cable, erase the fault code from the memory.

8. Wait at least 10 seconds, then start the engine and let it idle for 10 minutes.
