1. Remove the rear seat cushion.
2. Remove the protective cover.
3. Disconnect the fuel pump assembly connector.
4. Connect the MUT-II device to the diagnostic connector.
Caution: Before connecting or disconnecting the MUT-II device, turn off the ignition.
5. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position.
6. Select the appropriate item in the "Data list" menu of the MUT-II device.
7. Turn the engine crankshaft with the starter for 2 s.
8. If the engine does not start, use the MUT-II device to make sure that the fuel pressure is no more than 0.5 MPa. Then turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.
9. If the engine starts, relieve the fuel pressure in the line as follows:
- turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position and stop the engine;
- disconnect one of the ignition coil connectors;
- turn the engine crankshaft with the starter for 2 s.
10. If the engine does not start, use the MUT-II device to make sure that the fuel pressure is no more than 0.5 MPa. Then turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.
11. If the engine starts, stop it by increasing the speed and at the same time make sure using the MUT-II device that the fuel pressure in the system does not exceed 0.5 MPa. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.
12. Connect the ignition coil connector.
Caution: Clean the spark plug that was disconnected from the ignition coil from any carbon deposits.
13. Disconnect the MUT-II device.
14. Connect the fuel pump assembly connector.
15. Install the protective cover and rear seat cushion.
