Removing
- Disconnect the wire from the negative battery terminal.
Front crankshaft oil seal
- Remove the timing belt drive timing.
- Loosen the bolt and remove the crankshaft pulley,
- Drill two small holes in the front crankshaft oil seal located at diametrically opposite ends of the oil seal. Screw ie two self-tapping screws into the drilled holes in the stuffing box and, using pliers by the screw heads, pull out the stuffing box.
- Clean the gland seat.
Rear crankshaft oil seal
- Remove the gearbox.
- Remove the bolts and remove the clutch cover with the pressure plate and the clutch disc,
- Using a special tool, block the flywheel from turning and unscrew the bolts of its fastening (pic. 3.27).
Pic. 3.27. Using a special tool to block the flywheel from turning
- Remove the flywheel and connecting plates.
- Punch a groove near the sealing lip with a knife or flathead screwdriver.
Warning. Be careful not to damage the crankshaft and cylinder block.
- Insert the blade of a flat screwdriver wrapped in cloth into the punched groove, and with a screwdriver as a lever, remove the oil seal.
Installation
