- 1. Do not move the accelerator pedal position sensor unless absolutely necessary, as its position is adjusted with high precision at the factory (Fig. 6.6).
- 2. If the sensor position has been disturbed, restore its position as follows.

1. Connect the MUT-II device to the diagnostic connector.
2. Loosen the two accelerator pedal position sensor mounting bolts and insert a 0.60 mm thick steel feeler gauge between the accelerator pedal and the stopper (Fig. 6.7).

3. Turn on the ignition, but do not start the engine.
4. Loosen the accelerator pedal position sensor mounting bolts and turn it counterclockwise until it stops (Fig. 6.8).

5. Make sure that the accelerator pedal switch contacts are closed.
6. Slowly turn the accelerator pedal position sensor clockwise until the switch contacts open. At this point, securely tighten the accelerator pedal position sensor mounting bolts.
7. Check the output voltage of the accelerator pedal position sensor (1st and 2nd channels).
Sensor output voltage: 0.4-0.9V
8. If the output voltage does not match the required value, check the accelerator pedal position sensor (1st and 2nd channels) and the sensor connecting wires.
