Front Crankshaft Oil Seal — Replacement (Mitsubishi Colt 2)

1. Remove the timing belt and crankshaft sprocket.



2. Wrap the tip of the screwdriver with insulating tape. Carefully remove the seal from the groove using the screwdriver (8.2).

3. Clean and inspect the oil seal groove thoroughly.



4. Lubricate the new oil seal with engine oil and insert it into place (8.4).

5. Install the belt and its covers.

6. Start the engine and check for leaks.
