Removal
1. Remove the protective cover.

2. Loosen the bolts and remove the front cover 1 (Fig. 4.15) of the timing belt.

3. On vehicles with air conditioning, install a ratchet wrench on the generator adjustment bar (Fig. 4.16).
4. Use this key to loosen the generator adjusting bar bolts.
Caution! The belt used to remove the pulley will be damaged. Do not use the standard accessory drive belt of the engine (use another belt). Never install a damaged belt on the engine.
5. Slowly loosen the accessory drive belt and then remove it.
6. Holding the pulley from turning with a special tool, unscrew the bolts and remove the crankshaft pulley.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following.
1. When installing the crankshaft pulley bolt, apply a small amount of 3M stud locking 4170 to the bolt threads.
2. On vehicles with air conditioning, place the drive belt on the appropriate pulleys.
3. Install a ratchet wrench on the generator adjustment bar and, while tensioning the belt, ensure that the belt is correctly positioned in the pulley grooves.
4. When installing the crankshaft pulley bolt(s), apply a small amount of 3M stud locking 4170 to the bolt threads.
5. On vehicles with air conditioning, tighten the two bolts.
6. Adjust the tension of the drive belts.
7. Install the lower right protective cover.
