Coolant drain
31.2 Before opening the drain valve, put a coolant drain hose on the fitting
2. Remove the radiator cap. Remove the protective shield located under the radiator. Connect a hose with a diameter of approximately 9 mm to the drain fitting and drain the coolant. (31.2).
31.3 After the coolant has been drained from the radiator, remove the cylinder block plug and wait for the coolant to drain from the cylinder block
1. Radiator; 2. Plug
3. Then remove the cylinder block drain plug and drain the engine coolant (31.3).
4. Check up a condition of hoses of a radiator, hoses of an oven and collars. Replace damaged clamps and hoses.
Flushing
5. After draining the coolant, flush the radiator with clean water from a hose. To remove rust and scale, use special cleaning solutions.
Coolant fill
6. Close the drain pipe on the radiator and install the drain plug on the cylinder block.
7. Move the interior temperature adjustment lever to the maximum temperature position.
8. Gradually fill in new coolant (50% mixture of water and antifreeze) into the radiator. Fill the expansion tank with coolant up to the MIN·mark.
9. Without closing the radiator cap, warm up the engine until the thermostat opens (coolant will flow through the radiator and the upper radiator hose will become hot).
10. Stop the engine and wait until it cools down. Add coolant until the level rises to the edge of the radiator filler neck.
11. Squeeze the upper radiator hose to remove air from it, then add coolant if necessary. Reinstall the radiator cap.
